Hi, I'm Esther Passaris, a mother, businesswoman and social entrepreneur. I am humbly asking you to elect me as Nairobi's Women Representative.

While working with Adopt-A-Light to provide a more secure environment in Nairobi through street lighting, I witnessed the lives of many Nairobi residents that badly needed improvement. Sadly, 8 years on, most of these lives still need improvment, some are even worse off than they used to be.

I am tired of sitting and waiting for someone else to bring about this improvment. With my candidature, I offer a fresh and inclusive approach to the leadership of this city. I'm not only asking for your vote, I'm also asking you to get involved in making our city great.

The County Women Representative is not a token post. Leaders the world over recognise the special role that women play in the development of a people. As the group that is in closest contact with many pertinent issues such as health care, food and water provision and education of our children; issues that have a direct impact on a country's economic and social development, women are best placed to make sure that these areas are not neglected.
