A Perfect Kenya by 2015

Categories: Driving Kenya Foundation, Esther Passaris, Kenya, Poverty

I visited Bangalore, India for a franchise exhibition where my hope was to sign up a few franchises for our youth and also for other hard working Kenyans.

One of the areas that Driving Kenya Foundation will embark on when I come back home is to start the drive for 1 million jobs. This will not come easy, for success we have to work hard to transform our mentality & attitude to help us derive work ethics within us that can drive and see us dedicate & commit ourselves to reach our goals of a perfect Kenya by 2015.

One thing we need to cultivate are debates on issues that will serve the best interests of our people, whether The Hague, Local Tribunal, TJRC, Mau Forest or review of land tenure systems & jurisdictions. The best discussions are those that will help us transform ourselves individually and also collectively.

The main issues that you have highlighted are the very issues that are swept beneath the carpet.
The long trails in the 40 plus years of Independence, urge us to take an honest look over our shoulders and ask in what direction are we heading…The driver behind the wheel driving Kenya forward is prompted to wake up to the realities. Mere words in speech is likened to empty plates on the table. You are creating the awareness in every expressed truth, most sincere and sound in all voiced.

We have had too many empty promises. Every acceptance speech has always filled people with hope but then, it is discarded in a dust beenor placed in a drawer to gather dust. Oh Oh, who will save us!

Poverty can be eradicated if we as Kenyans help in eradicating it, our leaders; churches and institutions that we look upon will never do everything for us…n there will be no angel who will ever eradicate it for us…all we need to do is to remain honest n do our part like CDF cash can do a lot in our constituency if only those in charge remain key word “honest”.
