My Lifes Journey

Have you ever been touched by the desire to leave the world a better place than you found it? All through my life, and especially most recently, the urge to do this has been growing on me. The drawers in my house are filled with many journals and pieces of paper with hand written thoughts of the time. I have toiled with the idea that I should “write” and I’ve always started but never finished. “Esther, write!” always seems to make it onto my annual “goals” list. Share. Write. Speak out. And I didn’t. No I did, but only for my drawers and a few outbursts. But this year, I’ve decided to take the bull by the horns. It’s time not just to write, share, and speak out but it is also time to learn and get on with it.

In Dubai, 2009, as I took a solo trip to reflect on my life I realized I was on three different journeys:-

  • The first was of course how to get my career back on track, be able to pay my own bills and save money. It is about financial security for my family, my old age and my social work.
  • The second journey which is important for every woman is how to learn to love myself, as I am and let it be the only love I desperately need.
  • The third being how to change my world, our world by caring enough to share, by uniting like minds and putting in the effort to leave the planet a better place than we found it.

I would not want my precious little girl to end up on the dark roads that can be avoided. I do not want her to think there are no choices for her as she travels through the challenges of her own life journey – and for that, I must share my experience as honestly as I can. I also want to teach my little boy aspects of love and life, which the men of today have no clue and for that they destroy lives as a norm. I intend to raise a gentleman.

There are many roads to the same destination. My challenge here on is to find the right roads. The journey through life is a journey I have no choice but to take as long as I am alive. The challenge is to always strive to make it all worth living. I am on to something big not just for me but for my country and maybe my world; I feel alive and connected. Wish me luck!

Better yet, let’s take the journey together? I look forward to sharing my travels with you, from the inside out and the outside in.

Hugs

Inspiration

If we could say, "We are respectful and courteous in our dealing with children, we treat them as we should like to be treated ourselves," we should have mastered a great educational principle and be setting an example of good education.
